58  | 伍驥，字德良，安福人。景泰進士，授御史。天順七年巡按福建。先是，上杭賊起，都指揮僉事丁泉善捍禦。賊屢攻城，皆為所却。已而賊轉熾。驥入境聞之，立馳入汀州，單騎詣賊壘，從容立馬，諭以禍福。賊見其至誠，感悟泣下，歸附者千七百餘戸，給以牛種，俾復故業。惟賊首李宗政負固不服，遂與泉深入破之。泉力戰，為賊所害。驥弔死恤傷，激以忠義，復與賊戰，連破十八砦，俘斬八百餘人，冒瘴癘成疾。班師至上杭，卒。軍民哀之，為立祠。成化中，以知縣蕭宏請，詔與泉並祀，賜祠名褒忠。子希閔，成化進士，歷官福建僉事，再平上杭，巨寇，民德之，並祠焉。姪希淵，天順進士，官至廣西布政。希齊𢎞治進士，終黄州推官。一門俱有治績。 |
