154  | 羅通，字學古，吉水人。永樂進士。授御史，巡按四川。三殿災，偕同官何忠等極陳時政闕失，忤旨，出為交阯淸化知州。宣德元年，黎利反，賊方圍化通，堅守，乘間出破賊，殺傷甚衆。賊知城不可拔，引去。㑹朝議棄交阯，通始率吏士歸，改戸部員外，出理宣府軍餉。遷郎中，坐事下獄，以于謙薦，起兵部員外，守居庸關。也先破紫荆，長驅犯京師，别部攻居庸甚急，天大寒，通汲水灌城，氷堅不得近，七日遁走，追擊破之。景泰元年，召入參贊京營軍務兼理院事。給事中覃浩等言：「通本以知兵用，不宜理院事，乃解其兼職。通本于謙所舉，而每事牴牾，人由是不直通。天順初，乞歸，卒按豫章書云：𢎞治十八年，追録己巳保障功臣勅，建祠居庸關以祀通劉晉卿，羅少保易名詩序云：土木之變，破敵保塞，恢復京師，與于忠肅共成中興之業，為犁庭以來第一戰功。其後觀象前知，而耻與奪門之事，以左都御史屢疏請致仕。此段舊志不詳，附録於此。 |
