113  | 王雅，字格非，吉水人，德化訓導。永樂間為㑹，試房考得、曾棨等，皆知名之士。陞司經局正字，尋遷翰林檢討。預修《兩朝實録》，性樂恬退，未嘗一及貴勢之門。曾棨，字子啟吉，永豐人。永樂二年殿試第一，授翰林修撰。尋詔解縉選進士二十八人，進學文淵閣，棨為首。司禮監，月給筆墨紙，光禄給朝暮饌，禮部月給膏燭鈔，工部擇近第宅居之。帝嘗親試天馬海靑歌，棨援筆立就。又嘗摘記載諸隱僻事問，棨條對無遺悞，由是見褒寵。有薦文士者，帝必問才學如棨否，或命就棨辨論，以觀其能。修《永樂大典》為副緫裁。進侍讀學士。修《天下郡邑志》，復為副緫裁。仁宗立，除左春坊大學士。宣宗立，進少詹事，預修《三朝實録》，再扈北巡，《三典》㑹試為文如源泉，一瀉千里，館閣中自解。胡後諸大制作，多出其手。宣德七年，卒於官，年六十一。贈禮部左侍郎，諡襄敏。 |
