49  | 袁甫，字廣微，郢人。嘉定七年，進士第一，厯校書郎，轉對，言：「邊事之病不在外而在內偷安之根不去，規模終不立，壅蔽之根不去，血胍終不通，忌嫉之根不去，將帥終不可擇，欺誕之根不去，兵財終不可治」。出通判湖州，考常平弊原，以增積貯，核隠産增附嬰兒局，厯起居舎人兼崇政殿說書。時相鄭清之以國用不足，履畆使輸劵，甫奏其害，嘗讀《資治通鑑》，至漢髙入闗，辭秦民牛酒，因奏：「今日無以與人，反橫科之，其心喜乎怒乎？本朝立國以仁，陛下以為此舉仁乎？否乎？」帝為惻然。累吏部侍郎、國子祭酒。時邊警日至，甫條十事，權兵部尚書，謚正肅，有《孝經說》、《孟子解》及文集行世。 |
