丙辰，賊焚郫縣。詔革維章職，以傅宗龍巡撫四川。

癸巳，赦兵部尚書傅宗龍，出之獄，以右侍郎都御史督陝西兵討賊。羅汝才不合於張獻忠，七月自內鄉、淅川走鄧州，與自成合營。時自成有眾五十萬，復得汝才軍，眾益熾。

丁丑，陝督傅宗龍率兵四萬次新蔡，與保督楊文岳之兵會。賀人龍、李國奇將秦兵，虎大威將保定兵，共結浮橋渡河，合兵趨項城。
