24  | 上按籍勋戚大璫，徵其助饷。遣太监徐高谕嘉定伯周奎为倡，奎谢无有。高泣谕再三，奎漫词以对。高拂然起曰：「外戚如此，国事去矣。多金何益！」奎奏捐万金，上少之，勒其二万。奎密书皇后求助，后勉应以五千金，令奎以私蓄足其额。奎匿中宫所畀二千金，仅输三千金。太监王永祚、曹化淳助至三万、五万。王之心最富，上面谕之，仅献万金。诸内官各大书于门曰：「此房急卖。」复杂出雕镂玩好诸物，陈于市以求售。后贼拷王之心，追十五万，他金银器玩称是。周奎抄见银五十二万，珍币复数十万。魏藻德首输百金。陈演既放未行，召入，诉清苦。百官共议捐助，勉谕至再，最后每省限额，浙江六千，山东四千，先后共二十万。时谕上等三万金，皆无应。惟太康伯张国纪输二万，馀不及也。又议前三门巨室，各输粮给军，且赡其妻孥，使无内顾，诸巨室多不乐而止。或谓从逆官吏，多非其心，请赦河南、北所俘伪官，以携贼党。 |
