乙卯，上御射殿，引試南省舉人何溥已下是舉兩浙轉運司秋試舉人，凡解二百八人，而溫州所得四十有二，宰執子姪皆預焉。溥，永嘉人也。朱勝非秀水閑居録云：東南諸州解額少舉子，多求牒試於轉運司，每七人取一名，比之本貫，難易百倍。秦檜於永嘉引用州人以為黨助。呉表臣林待聘，號黨魁，名為是官，實操國柄，凡鄉士具耳目口鼻者，皆登要途，更相扳援，其勢炎炎，日遷月擢，無復程度。是年，有司觀望所薦溫士四十二名，檜與參政王次翁子姪預選者數人，前輩詩云：「惟有糊名公，道在孤寒，宜向此中求」，今不然矣。
