15  | 戊戌，上以所書資治通鑑第四冊賜黃潛善，時上退朝日覽四方章奏，暇則讀經史，嘗取孟子論治道之語，書之素屏，因為潛善言論，孟乃㓜年所習，讀之了無凝滯。後五日，又出旅獒篇，大有大畜卦以示輔臣。辛丑，陜西節制司將官賀師範及金人戰於八公原，敗績，師範死之。初，涇原統制官曲端既以留守司之命權河東經制使，即檄鄜延經畧司濟其芻粟，方擬議間㑹，經畧使王庻被朝命，節制陜西軍馬，以端為都統制，庻傳檄諸路併召端㑹。雍耀間，端以未受命為詞，不數日，走馬承受公事髙中立賫端告身至自行在，庶遣人逹之，諸路兵皆報應起發，庻即以鄜延兵先出至龍坊，而端又稱嘗有公移徃還，已奏乞廻避，涇原經畧使席貢別遣統制官龎世才將歩騎萬人来㑹，庻無如之何，則檄貢勒端還舊任，遂遣師範趨耀州，別將王宗尹趨白水，且令原慶出師為援，二帥各遣偏將劉仕忠㓂鯶來，與師範㑹，庻欲徃耀州督戰，已戒行，㑹龎世才兵至邠州，端中悔，以狀白庻，言己赴軍前，庻乃止。師範輕敵不戒，猝遇敵於八公原，戰死，二將各引歸，端既得兵柄，則傍徨於淳化矣。 |
