7  | 永嘉二年春二月庚子，勒寇常山，晉安北將軍王浚出兵擊討，為浚所敗。夏四月，淵使劉聰攻壺闗，命勒率所統七千為前鋒都督。劉琨遣護軍將軍黃秀等救壺闗，勒敗秀於白田，秀死之，壺闗失據。秋九月，勒寇趙郡，征北將軍和郁自鄴奔于衛國。晉遣車騎將軍王堪屯兵東燕，以拒勒。冬十月，勒與劉靈、閻羆等七將帥眾三萬，寇魏郡、汲郡、頓丘，百姓望風降附者五十餘壘，皆假壘主將軍、都尉印綬，簡其彊壯五萬為軍士，其餘老弱安堵如故，軍無私掠，百姓懐之。劉淵僭稱尊號，遣使授勒持節、平東大將軍、校尉都督，王如故。己酉，勒入寇鄴，魏郡太守王粹死之，進寇趙郡，殺冀州西部都尉馮沖，攻乞活赦亭、田禋於中丘，皆殺之。 |
