| 27 | 田晓，字就尧，一字徳充，丹徒人。父述，为府推吏，绍兴丙子秋，试郡守林大声党，闽士冒举论不能夺，则欲以试日遏其入，大声知之，自以舆卫拥其后，士不胜忿，羣起抗之，以是罢举，大声愧且怒，士皆变服潜匿，大声捜城中，得六人者，械之狱，欲甘心焉，述谓衆怒激于一时，非有结约，罪不专在数人者，大声绳之急，述应之愈缓，竟以是得罪，时大声气焰张甚，官吏承命恐后，微述数人者几殆，且根究株连无已时，晓犹在童稚后，四请乡举，擢淳熈八年进士第，人以为隂徳之报，初任秀州华亭买纳盐场，次扬州录事参军、建康府教授，性踈直不能，唯阿逐物，世道日薄，士以升改为重，有茫如捕风，而汲汲营求死，不知悔者晓之在金陵积举员四，或谓小屈意，即及格晓，笑曰：「穷达命也，命乃在天，虽屈意何为？且以直道为不可行，则吾向也，既以是得五之四矣，以为必可行也，则前辈不遇者多矣，独我乎哉？」归自金陵，年方六十有五，遂丐休，致婆娑小园以夀终，有文集藏于家。初，述既去吏，六人者在狱，僃尝惨酷，然皆以身任咎，不外及一人，后六人者皆名荐书，其最著者：钱弼，字圣俞，拟应洞明韬畧科，有进卷行于世，特恩对策，授迪功郎、蒲圻县尉，卒。二子亦连请举入太学。 |
