楚昭王滅唐集解杜預曰：「義陽安昌縣東南上唐鄉。」正義括地志云：「上唐鄉故城在隨州棗陽縣東南百五十里，古之唐國也。世本云唐，姬姓之國。」九月，歸入郢。十二年，吳復伐楚，取番。正義片寒反，又音婆。括地志云：「饒州鄱陽縣，春秋時為楚東境，秦為番縣，屬九江郡，漢為鄱陽縣也。」楚恐，去郢，北徙都鄀。正義音若。括地志云：「楚昭王故城在襄州樂鄉縣東北三十二里，在故都城東五里，即楚國故昭王徙都鄀城也。」

遂西，與上兵遇蘄西，會甀。索隱上古外反，下持瑞反。韋昭云「蘄之鄉名」。漢書作「𦉈」，應劭音保，非也。正義蘄音機。沛郡蘄城也。甀，逐瑞反。布兵精甚，上迺壁庸城，鄧展曰：「地名也。」望布軍置陳如項籍軍，上惡之。與布相望見，遙謂布曰：「何苦而反？」布曰：「欲為帝耳。」上怒罵之，遂大戰。布軍敗走，渡淮，數止戰，不利，與百餘人走江南。布故與番君婚，以故長沙哀王集解徐廣曰：「表云成王臣，吳芮之子也。」駰案；晉灼曰「芮之孫固」。或曰是成王，非哀王也，傳誤也。使人紿布，偽與亡，誘走越，故信而隨之番陽。索隱番陽鄱縣之鄉。番陽人殺布茲鄉民田舍，正義英布冢在饒州鄱陽縣北百五十二里十三步。遂滅黥布。
