4  | 於是薛、歐二史並行於世。至金章宗泰和七年，詔止用歐史，於是薛史漸湮。惟前明永樂大典多載其遺文，然已割裂淆亂，非薛史篇第之舊。恭逢我皇上開四庫館，命諸臣就永樂大典中甄錄排纂，其缺逸者，則採宋人書中之徵引薛史者補之。於是薛史復為完書，仍得列於正史，遂成二十三史之數。今覆而案之，雖文筆迥不逮歐史，然事實較詳。蓋歐史專重書法，薛史專重敘事，本不可相無，以四、五百年久晦之書，一旦復出，俾考古者得參互核訂，所以嘉惠後學，誠非淺鮮也。 |
