Source: ''Lushi Heng Wen Ji (陸士衡文集)'' 'Lushi Heng Wen Ji' (《陸士衡文集》) is a ten-volume collection of writings attributed to Lu Ji, also known as Shi Heng, who served as the Inner Historian of Pingyuan in the Wu Commandery during the Jin Dynasty. The compilation of this work was undertaken by Xu Minzhan during the Qingyuan period of the Song Dynasty, around 1195-1200 CE. Xu Minzhan combined 'Lushi Long Wen Ji' (《士龙集》) with 'Lushi Heng Wen Ji' and published them together under the title "Er Jun Ji" (《二俊集》). The version of 'Lushi Heng Wen Ji' that is currently available is a Ming Dynasty reprint from the Zhengde period (1506-1521 CE), commissioned by Lu Yuanda. This edition was derived from Xu Minzhan's original publication and includes a preface by Xu and an afterword by Du Mu. However, the preface by Xu has been lost in this version. The manuscript was previously owned by the Dashi Shanfang collection of Sun family. Huang Fugong recorded that Lu's family had compared this edition with the Song Dynasty version, noting that the Song edition featured eleven lines per half-page and twenty characters per line. This detailed record provides valuable insights into the textual history and physical characteristics of the work.
