| 62 | 張玉字寶臣，保定人。以六班散直隸狄青麾下，築青澗、招安砦。遇夏兵三萬，有馳鐵騎挑戰者，玉單持鐵簡出鬥，取其首及馬，軍中因號曰張鐵簡。以狀聞。仁宗曰：「真勇將也。」以為本路同巡檢。從征儂智高，抵歸仁驛，賊列三銳陳以逆官軍，軍小卻，玉率右廂突騎橫貫賊壘，賊大潰。帝召見，使作銳陳於殿廷下，觀破賊之勢。擢為廣西鈐轄，徙大名，進龍、神四廂都指揮使，為副都總管。 |
