87  | 際亮，字亨甫，建寧人。少孤，伯兄業賈，以其才，資之讀書。補諸生，肄業福州鼇峰書院，院長陳壽祺器之。尋試拔貢，入京師，朝考報罷，而時皆嘖嘖稱其詩。鹺使曾燠以事至，召之飲。燠以名輩自處，縱意言論，同坐贊服，際亮心薄之。燠食瓜子粘須，一人起為拈去，際亮大笑，眾慚。既罷，復投書責燠不能教後進，徒以財利奔走寒士門下。燠怒，毀於諸貴人，由是得狂名，試輒不利。乃遍游天下山川，窮探奇勝，以其窮愁慷慨牢落古今之意，發為詩歌，益沉雄悲壯。十八年，鄉試者約：「張際亮狂士不可中。」而際亮已易名亨輔，中式。拆卷，疑欲去之，副考官申解而止。及來謁，果際亮也，主試者愕然。會試復報罷。際亮故與桐城姚瑩善。二十三年，聞瑩以守土事被誣下獄，入都急難。及事白而際亮疾篤，以所著思伯子堂詩集囑瑩，遂卒。其後瑩子濬昌輯而刊之，都三十二卷。 |
