夏四月丙辰，遣漢軍八旗官各一員駐防盛京。辛酉，以王文奎為陜西總督，焦安民為寧夏巡撫，黃圖安為甘肅巡撫，故明尚書張忻為天津巡撫，郝晉為保定巡撫，雷興為陜西巡撫。甲子，葬故明殉難太監王承恩於明帝陵側，給祭田，建碑。己丑，多鐸師至泗州。阿山等取泗北淮河橋，明守將焚橋遁，我軍遂夜渡淮。丁卯，諭曰：「流賊李自成殺君虐民，神人共憤。朕誕膺天命，撫定中華，尚復竊據秦川，抗阻聲教。爰命和碩豫親王移南伐之眾，直搗崤、函，和碩英親王秉西征之師，濟自綏德，旬月之間，全秦底定。憫茲黎庶，咸與維新。其為賊所脅誤者，悉赦除之，並蠲一切逋賦。大軍所過，免今年額賦之半，餘免三之一。」庚午，豫親王多鐸師至揚州，諭故明閣部史可法、翰林學士衛胤文等降。不從。甲戌，以孟喬芳為陜西三邊總督。以太宗第八女固倫公主下嫁科爾沁土謝圖親王巴達禮子巴雅斯護朗。丁丑，拜尹圖、圖賴、阿山等克揚州，故明閣部史可法不屈，殺之。辛巳，初行武鄉試。
