61  | 鍾麟，字書春，蒙古正白旗人。光緒二十九年進士，用知縣，發湖南，補瀏陽。攝永順，宣統二年，調嘉禾。省城難作，衡永郴桂道通令輸款，麟聞大慟。即集士紳謂曰：「麟蒞縣經歲，無德於民。今國亡城危，請諸君先殺麟以謝百姓。幸縣城不罹兵禍，死無所恨！」皆相顧錯愕，為好語慰之。九月二十一日，民軍圍縣署，鍾麟坐堂皇，屑金自盡。預伏火內室，妻邱氏熸焉。兩子及次子婦均遇難。 |
