長安陷，夏綏銀節度諸葛爽屯軍櫟陽，巢將朱溫誘之，爽降賊。僖宗遂以思恭為左武衛將軍，權知夏綏銀留後。胡三省曰：「此拓跋氏強盛，遂為跨據西夏張本。

文德元年，李思恭取、延，以弟思孝知留後。

中和中，改延節度為保大軍。以東方逵領節度使。逵病，去。思恭遣弟行軍司馬思孝襲取之，自稱留後。思恭為請于朝，授、坊、丹、瞿等州觀察使、並檢校司徒同中書門下平章事。

昭宗詔思孝以太師致仕，思敬為保大軍兵馬留後，旋授節度使，後徙武定軍，附李茂貞。天復二年，西川王建攻之，思敬舉洋州降。

軍中遵思諫遺命，共立思恭孫彞昌為留後。尋起復，正授旄鉞。

三月，夏州人誅高宗益，迎蕃部指揮使李仁福為留後。

夏州將吏誅高宗益并其黨，相率迎仁福於戍所，立為留後。仁福以聞，梁祖授檢校司空、定難軍節度。仁福，彞昌族父也。
