德粹问:“人生即是气,死则气散。浮屠氏不足信。然世间人为恶死,若无地狱治之,彼何所惩?”曰:“吾友且说尧舜三代之世无浮屠氏,乃比屋可封,天下太平。及其后有浮屠,而为恶者满天下。若为恶者必待死然后治之,则生人立君又焉用?”滕云:“尝记前辈说,除却浮屠祠庙,天下便知向善,莫是此意?”曰:“自浮屠氏入中国,善之名便错了。渠把奉佛为善。如修桥道造路,犹有益于人。以斋僧立寺为善,善安在?所谓除浮屠祠庙便向善者,天下之人既不溺于彼,自然孝父母,悌长上,做一好人,便是善。大抵今之佛书,多是后世做文字者所为。向见伯恭说,曾看藏经,其中有至不成说话者。。”某问:“道家之说,云出于老子。今世道士又却不然。今之传,莫是张角术?”曰:“是张陵,见三国志。他今用印,乃‘阳平治都功印’。张鲁起兵之所,又有祭酒,有都讲祭酒。鲁以女妻马超,使为之。其设醮用五斗米,所谓‘米贼’是也。向在浙东祈雨设醮,拜得脚痛。自念此何以得雨?自先不信。”某问:“汉时如郑康成注二礼,但云鬼神是气。至佛入中国,人鬼始乱。”曰:“然。”可学
