敖陶孙（1154年 - 1227年），字器之，号臞翁，庵号臞庵。福州福清（今属福建）人。南宋诗人、诗论家。淳熙七年（1180年）乡荐第一，客居昆山。在太学为诸生，曾写诗送朱熹，又作诗悼赵汝愚，忤韩侂胄。于是韩侂胄下令捉拿敖陶孙，敖陶孙化名逃亡，隐居福清东塘（今后山顶瑞亭村）。庆元五年（1199年）进士。历任海门县主簿，漳州府学教授、广东转运司主管文字。因临安书商陈起刊刻《江湖集》受株连贬官。官至温陵通判。宝庆三年（1227年）十一月丁亥，卒。葬在今融城东皋山。
敖陶孙善于评诗，如称：「魏武帝如幽燕老将，气韵沉雄；曹子建如三河少年，风流自赏」。著有《臞翁诗集》二卷，收入《南宋群贤小集》。《江湖集》与《江湖后集》可见其佚诗。
