陈慥（？ - ？），字季常，北宋眉州（今四川青神）人，一说永嘉（浙江今县）人，陈希亮第四子，隐士。陈慥少时仰慕游侠朱家、郭解为人。稍壮，专心读书，希望有一番作为，可惜不遇。及至晚年居于黄州（今湖北黄冈市黄州区）之歧亭，常信佛，饱参禅学，自称龙丘先生，又曰方山子，与苏轼是好友，尝与苏轼论兵及古今成败。苏轼为他作《方山子传》。
陈慥喜好宾客，蓄纳声妓。其妻子柳氏为名门望族河东柳氏人（本名不详，民间称柳月娥）非常凶妒，柳氏即以更击壁大呼，客为散去，季常非常怕她。苏轼赋诗《寄吴德仁兼简陈季常诗》戏之曰：「谁似龙丘居士贤，谈空谈有夜不眠。忽闻河东狮子吼，拄杖落手心茫然。」狮子吼原比喻佛教神威，这是「河东狮吼」、「季常之癖」的典故。
季常「晚年于光黄间，庵居蔬食，徒步往来山中，不与世相闻」。
