夏神宗李遵顼（1163年－1226年），西夏宗室齐国忠武王李彦宗之子。史书记载：「端重明粹，少力学，长博通群书，工隶篆」。1203年，廷试进士第一名，1211年8月12日废襄宗自立，改元光定，成为中国历史上唯一的状元皇帝。任内全盘承袭襄宗自取灭亡的政策，继续破坏金国与西夏关系，发兵侵金；金宣宗也不遑多让，决定痛击西夏。更不幸的是，夏军军力早已废弛，因此不断战败，反而没有令遵顼知难而退，更激起他的野心和战欲，继续发动战争，令人民家破人亡，民怨四起，经济严重破坏，国力直线下降。在位期间根本没有想过与金国议和，虽不断有忠良之士直言进谏，但一一被他痛骂，包括其子李德任。1223年，传位于子李德旺，为西夏唯一的太上皇。1226年病卒，年64，諡英文皇帝，庙号神宗。The text above has been excerpted automatically from Wikipedia - please correct any errors in the original article.
