祭王父曰皇祖考，	In sacrificing to them, a grandfather is called 'the sovereign grandfather;'

生曰父、曰母、曰妻，	While (they are) alive, the names of father (fu), mother (mu), and wife (qi) are used;
死曰考、曰妣、曰嬪。	when they are dead, those of 'the completed one (kao),' 'the corresponding one (bi),' and 'the honoured one (pin).'
壽考曰卒，	Death in old age is called 'a finished course (zu);'
