| Posted by: chenzhijun (陈治军) | 绝非通假字，脏者即藏也，气血在此宜藏而不宜泄。腑者即气血流通之府，宜虚不宜实。脏腑二字皆后世所造。至于简体更是后后世了。 |

| Posted by: knewnsaw (知明) | 《富国》足国之道：节用裕民，而善臧其馀。"臧" 动词。把东西放置在隐密安全，不见天日的地方。加草爲"藏"。延伸爲动名词变成存储东西的地方，如：宝藏。又加肉爲"脏"，单指人身肉体内的器官。精气积聚藏而不泄爲之"脏"。与藏相对的是"府"，开放收付而不留存的地方爲之"府"。加肉单指，人体内的气血转化不留的器官，爲之"腑"。
