按照站上的孙子十一家注本，此句应作：「其用战也，胜久则钝兵挫锐，攻城则力屈，久暴师则国用不足。」无「贵」字。此外，「其用战也胜」解释不通，因此标点应下在「也」字之后；杜牧注：「胜久，谓淹久而后能胜也。」
