| | In the fifteenth year of Yongping, when the Emperor made a tour to various states, he ordered Fang's carriage and entourage to depart afterward. He stationed the crimson-clad cavalry overnight on the upper passage above Xuanwu Gate, placed under Fang's command the officials and soldiers of Nan Gong, ensured bedding was provided, allowing descendants to reach Fang's residence. The edict stated: "There are many cold and harmful winds in the upper passage of Nan Gong; elderly attendants residing there may fall ill with stroke." "Order the attendants to bring more curtains and screens, block all windows from east to west, and ensure everything is tightly sealed."
