| | Guo Kuang served as Chengmen Xiaowei (Commander of the City Gates). Kuang was the empress's younger brother and held a prestigious position, with many guests flocking to him; however, Kuang remained respectful, thrifty, modest, strictly observed laws and regulations, and dared not behave arrogantly or indulge in luxury.

| | Guo Kuang was transferred to the position of Dahanlu (Grand Master of Ceremonies). The emperor visited his residence on several occasions, drinking wine and bestowing generous rewards of gold and silk. In the capital city, people referred to Kuang's family as "Jin Xue" ("a golden cave"), meaning that their wealth had reached an extreme level.
