Emperor Huan executed the Grand General Liang Ji, and the Zhongchangshi Shan Chao et al. five men were all enfeoffed as marquises for their contributions to the execution of Liang Ji. He also established He Shi, a commoner woman from Yeting, as empress. Within several months, four members of the empress's family were enfeoffed and received enormous rewards. At that time, the earth frequently cracked, and various disasters occurred repeatedly. Yun had always been resolute and concerned about the country, so he submitted a public memorial and sent copies to the three offices, saying: "Confucius said: 'Di is di.'" "Now official positions are in disorder, and petty people advance through flattery; wealth and goods circulate openly, and government decrees deteriorate daily. Is it that the emperor wishes not to be clear?" The emperor received the memorial and was furious, ordering the relevant officials to send Yun to the Huangmen Beisi prison.
