凉州長史趙持滿，與長孫無忌親。許敬宗既陷無忌，懼持滿為己患，乃誣其同反。追至京拷訊。嘆曰。身可殺，辭不可辱。吏為代占而結奏，遂死獄中。尸于城西，親戚莫敢收視者。王方翼嘆曰。欒布之哭彭越，大義也。周文之掩朽骸，至仁也。絕友之義，蔽主之仁，何以事君。遂具禮葬焉。高宗義之而不問。出《大唐新語》
