1  | 明罗汝芳撰。汝芳有《孝经宗旨》，已著录。前明钱钞通行，其弊百出。汝芳督屯滇省，以滇为铸钱之薮，因作此书，以明其利弊。大旨以钱制大小轻重，贵在持平，乃足为万世之利。历引古来钱制，始自太昊、轩辕，下迄唐宋，胪列具备。其第一篇本义，引据唐人《钱谱》，谓秦世八铢，失之太重；汉初榆荚，失之太轻。按《文献通考》，秦兼天下，铜钱质如周钱，文曰半两；汉高后二年，始行八铢钱。是八铢之名定于汉，谓秦世八铢，非也。又考唐武德四年废五铢钱，铸开通元宝钱，其文则欧阳询所书，回环读之曰「开通元宝」，今书悉谓「开元通宝」，亦非本义。 |
