2  | 如汪藻曾为符宝郎之类，亦多史传所遗。赵不悔序称其博物洽闻，故论载甚广；而其序事简括不繁，又自得立言之法。愿自序亦自以为儒者之书，具有微旨，不同抄取记簿，皆不愧也。程敏政《新安文献志》记愿所作《胡舜陟墓志》后曰：「《鄂州新安志》，于王黼之害王俞，秦桧之杀舜陟，皆略而不书，非杏庭、虚谷一白之，则其迹泯矣。然则是书精博虽未易及，至其义类取舍之间，疑有大可议者。姑记二事，以验观者」云云。案刘克庄《后村诗话》，谓舜陟欲为秦桧父建祠，高登不可，因劾登以媚桧。会舜陟别以他事忤桧下狱死，登乃得免。则舜陟之死，乃欲附于桧而反见挤耳。愿之不书，殆非无意，未可遽以为曲笔也。 |
