37  | 戊午，昭宣使、眉州防御使、内侍副都知杨懐敏领梓州观察使，为三陵副使，罢副都知。初，怀敏自高阳闗钤辖入奏事，除副都知，知制诰胡宿当制，因言：「怀敏先为入内副都知、管勾皇城司，以宿衞不谨，致逆徒窃入宫闱，其士卒又不能生致之，议者谓其欲灭奸人之口，罪在怀敏及杨景宗二人，而陛下不忍加诛，止黜于外。况旧制，内臣都知、副都知以过罢去者，不许再除，今中书送到词头，臣不敢草制，輙封还以闻」。上疑宿职不当言，翌日，谓宰相曰：「前代有此故事否？」文彦博对曰：「唐给事中袁高不草卢杞制书，近来富弼亦曽封还词头」。上意解，谏官钱彦逺谓宿曰：「仁者必有勇，于公见之矣」。既而他舎人为怀敏草制，彦逺及台官论列不已，逾半月，卒罢之，宿闻怀敏除三陵副使，谓人曰：「懐敏必死矣！祖宗神灵所在，大奸岂能逃乎？」未几，怀敏果卒。 诏外任观察使以上，给随行指使使臣二人，刺史以上一人，毎五岁代之。 |
