72  | 旋进右谕德，掌司经局，疏辞。因言己有三罪、四耻、七不如。三罪、四耻，以自责。七不如者，谓「品行高峻，卓绝伦表，不如刘宗周；至性奇情，无愧纯孝，不如倪元璐；湛深大虑，远见深计，不如魏呈润；犯言敢谏，清裁绝俗，不如詹尔选、吴执御；志尚高雅，博学多通，不如华亭布衣陈继儒、龙溪举人张燮；至圜土累系之臣，朴心纯行，不如李汝璨、傅朝佑；文章意气，坎坷磊落，不如钱谦益、郑鄤。」鄤方被杖母大诟，帝得疏骇异，责以颠倒是非。道周疏辩，语复营护鄤。帝怒，严旨切责。 |
