| 2 | 臣等谨案：《巵林》十一卷，明周婴撰。婴字方叔，莆田人。官上犹县知县。是书体近类书，而考订经史，辨证颇为该洽。毎条以两字标目，而各引原撰书之人姓以系之。如质鱼、谘杜之类，葢用王充《诘墨》、《刺孟》等篇目之例也。其中如驳王僧䖍之纪次仲，及论杜诗之西川杜鹃等处，亦未免过于执滞。然所刋正处实多，非率尔读书者可比。王士祯《池北偶谈》极称其辨石尤风一条，解古乐府赐字义一条，君苗无姓一条，髙似孙误引《金楼子》一条，而谓其诠锺一条，不知名媛诗归为吴下人托名锺、谭，其中文明太后《青台雀歌》、杜兰香降张硕诗数条，皆不足辨。然锺惺、谭元春之书，盛行于天啓、崇祯间，至真贋并出，无由辨别。今乡曲陋儒，奉其绪论，谬种流传，知为依托者葢少。既悉其谬，即当显为纠正，以免疑悞后人。如士祯之言，出于锺惺则当辨，不出于锺惺即不必辨。则惟攻其人，非攻其书矣。以是咎婴，仍不免于门户之见也。乾隆四十四年四月，恭校上。 |
