71  | 洪武五年三月辛亥，太祖谓礼部巨曰：「礼者，所以美教化而定民志。成周设大司徒，以五礼防万民之伪而教之中。夫制中莫如礼，修政莫如礼，齐家莫如礼。故有礼则治，无礼则乱。居家有礼，则长幼叙而宗族和。朝廷有礼，则尊卑定而等威辨。元兴，以夷变夏，民染其俗，先王之礼几乎熄矣。而人情狃于浅近，未能猝变。今命尔稽考典礼合于古而宜于今者，以颁布天下，俾习以成化，庶几复古之治也。」 |
