4  | 法皇令禅位于长子显仁，年五岁，是为崇德天皇。母，藤原公实女，幼养于白河法皇，长私之。及鸟羽立为中宫，犹不改，鸟羽深衔之。崇德嗣位，忠通摄政，法皇仍听政，寻崩。而鸟羽上皇听政亦二十馀年，久之，亦削发称法皇。崇德在位十五年，改元六：曰天治，曰大治，曰天承，曰长承，曰保延，曰永治。为法皇所迫，禅位皇太弟。鸟羽法皇多内宠，后纳长实女，宠专房，称美福门院。生子体仁。法皇欲其速得位，谕帚稗让。即日促书诏，诏称皇太弟。帝欲俟明日审议，遁中使往复数次，终不听。及暮，传剑玺，帝由是与鸟羽有隙。尊为上皇。世称法皇曰本院，上皇曰新院。 |
