32  | 建中初，吐蕃袭火井，掠龙州，陷扶、文、远三州。叔明分五将邀击，走之，以功加检校户部尚书。梁崇义阻命，诏引兵下峡，战荆门，败其众，襄州平，迁检校尚书左仆射。德宗幸兴元，出家赀助军，悉衣币献宫掖，加太子太傅，封蓟国公。初，东川承兵盗，乡邑雕破，叔明治之二十年，抚接有方，华裔遂安。后朝京师，以病足，赐锦辇，令宦士肩舁以见，拜尚书右仆射。乞骸骨，改太子太傅致仕。贞元三年，卒，谥曰襄。始，叔明与仲通俱尹京兆，及兼秩御史中丞，并节制剑南，又与子升俱兼大夫，蜀人推为盛门。 |
