李　佑，字吉甫，清平衞人。嘉靖丁未进士，授南大理评事，升寺正，改工部。往董川、贵、大木，深入岚瘴，不辞险阻，于商民无扰，而大工以济。迁副使。备兵南贑。时盗猖獗，杀汪副使。佑视事浃辰，单车入岑冈三巢，譬晓李文彪诸剧贼各敛束。听命立定南县，控制诸巢。未几，广东贼乱，复设巡抚以佑南贑功，超佥都，往抚其地，百务创造，无所承藉。佑综理精密，号令严明。海贼林道乾、山贼张韶南等次第就擒，一岁㨗书十馀上。屡赐金币，玺书慰劳，以病归。所著有《南法寺驳稿、抚粤疏稿》及诗文等集。
