何乔新，字廷秀，广昌人，进士，厯官刑部侍郎。成化闲，播州宣慰杨辉宠庶子友，欲夺嫡子爱，乃立友，为凯里安寜宣抚司，诬爱以交通唐王，朝廷遣官即讯，友贿诸权贵，皆为㳺说，乔新至，尽条上其罪状，白爱无反谋，而革友宣抚职，播事遂定。孔　镛字昭文，山东人，至圣裔，天顺甲戌进士，成化时，廵抚贵州，有清平县苖阿溪者，桀鷔多智，有飬子曰阿剌，膂力絶伦，两人相资，横行夷落，嵗赂上官，以肆其毒，镛至，亷得其状，用指挥王通计，擒而磔之，一境以寜。
