47  | 公孙景茂，字元蔚，河间阜城人也。容貌魁梧，少好学，博涉经史。在魏，察孝廉，射策甲科。稍迁太常博士，多所损益，时人称为书库。历高唐令、大理正，俱有能名。齐灭，周武帝闻而召见，与语器之，授济北太守。以母忧去职。开皇初，召拜汝南太守。郡废，为曹州司马，迁息州刺史。法令清静，德化大行。属平陈之役，征人在路病者，景茂减俸禄为饘粥汤药，多方振济之，赖全活者千数。上闻嘉之，诏宣示天下。十五年，上幸洛阳，景茂谒见。时七十七，上命升殿坐。问其年，哀其老，嗟叹久之。景茂再拜曰：「吕望八十而遇文王，臣逾七十而逢陛下。」上甚悦，下诏褒美之，加上仪同三司，伊州刺史。明年，以疾徵，吏人号泣于道。及疾愈，复乞骸骨，又不许。转道州刺史。悉以秩俸买牛犊鸡猪，散惠孤弱不自存者。 |
