77  | 帝设奇阵，列烽营外，纵骑冲之。宝众大败，走还中山，获其器械数十万计。宝尚书闵亮、秘书监崔逞等降者相属，赐拜职爵各有差。三月己酉，车驾次卢奴。宝求和，请送秦王觚，割常山以西奉魏，乞守中山以东。帝许之。已而宝背约。辛亥，车驾次中山，命将围之。是夜，宝弟贺驎将妻子走西山。宝恐贺驎先据和龙，壬子夜，北遁。城内共立慕容普邻为主。夏四月，帝以军粮不继，诏东平公仪罢邺围，徙屯巨鹿。五月庚子，帝以中山城内为普邻所胁，乃招喻之。甲辰，曜兵扬威，以示城内，命诸军罢围南徙，以待其变。甲寅，以东平公仪为左丞相，封卫王。进襄城公题爵为王。秋七月，普邻遣乌丸、张骧率五千馀人出城求食，寇灵寿。贺驎自丁零中入军，因其众，复入中山，杀普邻而自立。八月丙寅朔，帝进军九门。时大疫，人马牛死者十五六，中山犹拒守，群下咸思北还。帝知之，谓曰：「斯固天命，将若之何！四海之人皆可与为国，在吾所以抚之耳，何恤乎无人！」群臣乃不敢言。 |
