43  | 丁丑，宰执进呈金人所须之目，李纲力争，谓：「犒师金币，其数太多，虽竭天下之财且不足，况都城乎？太原、河间、中山，国家屏蔽，号为三镇，其实十馀郡地塘泺险阻皆在焉，割之何以立国！又保塞，翼祖、顺祖、僖祖陵寝所在，子孙奈何与人！至于遣使，宰相当往，亲王不当往。今日之计，莫若择使姑与之议所以可不可者，金币之数，令有司会计。少迟数日，大兵四集，彼以孤军深入重地，势不能久留，必求速归，然后与之盟，则不敢轻中国，而和可久也。」宰执议不合，纲因求去，帝慰谕曰：「卿第出治兵，益固城守，此事当徐议之。」纲复曰：「金人所须，宰执欲一切许之，不过欲脱一时之祸，它日付之何人？陛下愿更审处，恐后悔无及。」帝不听，即以誓书授李邺往。纲尚留三镇诏书不遣，冀少迟延，以俟勤王兵集，徐为后图也。 |
