129  | 辛未，吴王御西楼，有军士十馀人，自陈战功以求升赏，王谕之曰：「尔从我有年，才力勇怯，我纵不知，将尔者必知之。尔有功，予岂遗尔！尔无功，岂可妄陈！且尔曹不见徐相国耶？今贵为元勋，其同时相从者犹在行伍。予亦岂忘之？以其才智止此，不能过人故耳。尔曹茍能黾勉立功，异日爵赏，我岂尔惜！但患不力耳。」于是无有复言者。 |
