88  | 丙午，诏：「廉州岁贡珠，虽祖宗旧制，闻取之颇艰，或伤人命。自今可罢贡，幸丁纵其自便。」帝谓宰执曰：「朕尝读太祖《实录》，见刘鋹进珠子马鞍，太祖知刘鋹所采珠子甚多，日役幸丁数千人，死者不少。朕以为珠子非急用之物，既是难得，且伤人命，故特令罢贡，以为一方无穷之利。」 |
