8  | 秦紘，字世缨，单县人。景泰进士。初为南京御史，有风裁劾。中官降北黄驿丞用。荐起，歴右都御史。𢎞治二年，总制两广，破岑钦，克田州，又破海南黎及泷水贼。次年，劾总兵安逺侯栁景贪纵不法，逮景下狱，追赃钜万，褫其爵。景以他事诬紘，亦被逮，坐免。台谏交章论救，尚书王恕极言紘廉直忠信，遂起紘南京户部尚书致仕，卒。赠少保，諡襄毅。紘刚毅廉介，歴官四十馀年，所居仅蔽风雨，及卒，子孙有贫不能自存者。邓廷瓒，字宗器，巴陵人。景泰进士。𢎞治九年，以右都御史总制两广政务。安静属吏贤，举之不职则汰去之。尝奏除诸冗吏，曰：「省禄以养民也」。羣蛮刦掠，往往出入闽、楚诸郡，廷瓒言：都御史金泽巡抚偏方非宜，宜以江西一省付泽，使二司听节制军马钱粮可以调度。其湖广衡州添兵备，宪臣迁治于郴州便，又以泷水为贼巢，宜即其地设千户所调军守御，仍给地屯田为久逺计。廷瓒于羣蛮结以恩信，兵不轻动，动则必克。郁林、大桂诸峝贼以次荡平，四㑹诸县饥盗窃发，斩首恶李景元等，散其党二百馀人，廷瓒寛中大度，人莫窥其际，至所设施，动中机宜。卒，赠太子少保，諡襄敏。 |
