239  | 郑晓，字窒甫，海盐人。嘉靖元年举乡试第一。明年成进士，授职方主事。日披故牍，尽知天下厄塞，士马虚实强弱之数。尚书金献民属撰九边图志，人争传写之。以争「大礼」廷杖。大同兵变，上疏极言不可赦。张孚敬柄政，器之，欲改置翰林及言路，晓皆不应。父忧归，久之不起。 |
| 251 | 郑晓，字窒甫。生有异资，十二遍读经传诸史。父儒泰示以昔人贤不肖事迹，即毅然立志，以必为君子自矢。嘉靖初元发解，明年登第。主政兵部，考览九边地形及士马数，为图志。请讨大同叛卒，毋轻赦以滋后患。甚为胡大司马世宁所器重。大礼成，永嘉用事。初，晓同诸曹疏谏，诏狱赐杖，议实与永嘉左。至是永嘉以词林、台省引荐晓，欲收为用，晓不可。值丁艰归，因家授徒，不赴补者九年。后许文简赞为太宰，始起为考功，历文选郎。 |
