丁　度字公雅，恩州清河人。大中祥符中，登服勤词学科、判吏部南曹。上书论六事，大后善之。知制诰，迁翰林学士、领羣牧使。仁宗问所以御边，度上《备边要览》，除观文殿学士、知审刑院。㑹有言其求柄用者，帝曰：「度在侍从十五年，数论天下事，顾未及私，安从？」得是语。擢工部侍郎、枢宻副使，又进庆《歴兵録》五卷、《赡边录》一卷。由参知政事改观文殿学士，帝每以学士呼之而不名，著述甚富。子讽，官集贤校理。王　曾，字孝先，孟都人。咸平中，由乡贡试礼部，廷对皆第一，累职史舘修撰，迁翰林学士、㕘知政事。仁宗即位，授礼部尚书。㑹丁谓贬，进中书侍郎、同平章事、集贤殿大学士，寻知青州，徙改天平节度使，复判郓州。曾资质端厚，方严持重，每入见，言利害事审而中理，上尊礼异，常在朝进止有定处。平居寡言笑，恶侥幸，人莫敢干以私进退，士人鲜有知者。尝语范仲淹曰：「执政者恩欲归已，怨将谁归？」知天雄军」时，契丹往来，必敛卓徒，无敢哗，人乐其政，为画像祀之。景佑初，复拜平章事，封沂国公。卒，谥文正，仁宗篆其碑曰「旌贤之碑」。
