陈儒，字汝宗，锦衣人。嘉靖癸未进士，提督浙江学校，多得士心。歴官户部侍郎。陈鎏字子兼，吴县人，嘉靖戊戌进士。为人恬雅简静，不受衣冠束缚，躭佳山水，权税荆南，悉屏商羡，去之，日囊槖萧然。歴四川督学佥事，甚得士心，擢河南副使。以相见御史不作伛偻状，御史恶其拓落慢，已劾之，罢。隆庆初，起官，仕至四川右布政使，引疾归，年七十卒。其书法与祝允明、文徵明先后各成一家，传于世。
