115  | 徐元杰，字仁伯，上饶人。陈文蔚讲书铅山，为朱子门人，先生往师之。后师事西山。绍定五年，进士及第。官至工部侍郎。淳佑四年，史嵩之丁父忧，诏起复。先生适轮对，言：「大臣读圣贤书，畏天命，畏人言。士论所以凛凛者，实以陛下为四海纲常之主，大臣尤当身任道揆，扶翼纲常者也。自闻起复之命，凡有父母之心者莫不失声。兴言及此，非可使闻于邻国者也。」疏出，朝野传诵。帝亦察其孤忠，起复之命遂寝。明年，以暴疾卒。或以为嵩之毒之，太学生相继讼冤，台谏交疏论奏。诏付临安府逮医者及常所给使鞫治。狱迄无成，諡忠愍。 |
