95  | 冯衍，字敬通，杜陵人。幼有竒才，九嵗能诵诗二十，博通羣书。王莽时，诸公多荐之者，衍不肯仕。天下兵起，莽遣将军亷丹讨山东，丹辟衍为掾，丹战死，衍乃亡命山东，更始遣鲍永安集河北，衍说永以鎭太原，抚上党，永以衍为立汉将军，捍衞井土。世祖即位，遣使者招衍，衍不肯降，后审知更始已殁，乃罢兵，降于河内，帝怨衍不时至，遂见黜，顷之，以为曲阳令，斩剧贼郭胜等，论功当封以谗，故赏不行，衞尉隂兴新阳侯隂，就深重衍，与之交结，寻为司𨽻从事。帝惩西京外戚賔客，以法䋲之，衍由此得罪，西归故郡，作赋自厉命，其篇曰显志。居贫年老，卒于家，所著赋诔铭说、问、交徳诰、愼情书、记说自序、官録、说策凡五十篇，肃宗甚重其文。 |
